This is a powerful presentation of the cost of the Civil War / War Between the States.
That conflict is of great interest to me. I have been to the Mannassas and Gettysburg battlefields.
The map is beautiful.

Lisa, have you ever considered writing about the notorious “outlaw” woman Belle Starr (aka Myra Maybelle Shirley)? I’m a descendant of the Younger family and in my research, I’ve found her to be a very interesting character. (She’s certainly no angel, though, so be prepared.) If you’d like to check out some info on her, please let me know and I’ll send you the links.
I noticed the riding helmet in your photo–I also have three horses and, if you decide to write about equestrienne activities or horses in general, please let me know if you need help.
Thanks again for the great site! I’m excited to read more…..I hope you don’t mind my comments. (If I become a bit of a pain, please don’t hesitate to let me know.)
Kindly,
Vonya
Kindest regards–Vonya

Vonya, I have read a little about Belle Starr. What a character! I haven’t been doing much horseback riding lately; I’m watching the health of my lower back. I appreciate all of your comments and interest and can’t imagine you apologizing for them! Many thanks, Lisa
