“By 1992, the marriage between [British] Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson [Fergie] (the Duke and Duchess of York) was faltering. The Duchess was with various men including Texan multimillionaire Steve Wyatt, while her husband was away on royal duties. They agreed to separate in January 1992, but in August 1992, surreptitiously taken photographs of John Bryan, an American financial manager — apparently in the act of sucking on the toes of a topless Sarah in Southern France — were published in the British tabloid The Daily Mirror.

Prince Philip handed her a copy of the paper and quipped “there but for the grace of God go I.” (Notoriously picky Duke of Edinburgh liked Sarah as much as he detested Diana). The Queen was less amused; the Queen’s private secretary told the Duchess that she might feel better if she left immediately to London, effectively banishing her from the royal household. She would never be reinvited back to Balmoral until 2008. The only feeble defense both Fergie and John Bryan could muster up was that he hadn’t been sucking her toes, he was simply kissing the instep of her foot.”

There is no doubt that she has clearly been living beyond her means since is the second time (publicly) that she has been in financial ruin. The first time, after admitting defeat financially, she made money by becoming the spokesman for Weight Watcher’s, speaking engagements and writing a mildly successful children’s book.
But, let’s look at her earning prospects… really. Sarah Ferguson has a high school education. Her experience is that of being a public figure, mother, spokesperson and writer. She’s tried her hand at business, but she doesn’t seem to have had success in joint ventures where what she brings is her name and her limited experience in business. Let’s be fair. The public expects a former Royal, especially one with the high-profile of Fergie to continue to live a public life. In a way, she is doing her job in being caught in these scandals and being fodder for the paparazzi. She entertains us by giving us someone to talk about. She inspires comedians, tabloids and talk show topics.
Let’s give her a break.

I think he really is kissing her instep. (This was my immediate reaction to seeing the picture – not based on what he says.) You can tell from the angle her leg is turned and because you can see her actual toes to his left – his left hand is holding the lower knuckles of her toes. He has her heel near his mouth.

The photographer snapped 29 or so photos and, in one, I believe Bryan was sucking toes! The one I’ve shown is an instep kiss.

I think Sarah is about as dumb as they come! All she does is whine about how she threw her “royal life away”, we all have choices. She needs to get a real job and stop living off her girls and ex. She keeps saying how much she & Prince Andrew still love each other, why hasn’t he ever gone public how much he loves his her? Isn’t it funny the year Sarah has a tv show on OWN is the same year Prince William married? Sarah, do the world a favor, shut up and disappear!

She makes just about the strongest case for republicanism in Britain as can ever be conceived. Fortunately, I think most people recognize that her common behavior and vulgar public whining are NOT what the Monarchy is all about. If she would only just shut up…and go away.
