The body of Mao Zedong rests in its crystal coffin.
In a recent post, “Monster Mao,” I blogged about the Chinese communist leader, Mao Zedong, and his disastrous leadership.
Besides being selfish and cruel, Mao Zedong had some disgusting personal habits. He did not like to bathe. According to his personal physician, Dr. Li, Mao liked young girls and fatty pork. Like many Chinese of his time, Mao Zedong never brushed his teeth. Instead he rinsed with green tea and chewed the leaves. Dr. Li pleaded with his patient to brush but Mao refused, reportedly stating,
“A tiger never brushes his teeth.”
Consequently, Mao’s teeth looked like they were coated with green paint. As he grew older, his teeth fell out and he became toothless.
Mao also loved to chain smoke English cigarettes. Dr. Li begged him to cut down. Mao’s response:
“Smoking is also a form of deep-breathing exercise, don’t you think?”
free-world, we know the truth about mao.
mass-killer of 50 million.
truth will set china free.
truth will set world free.

Lisa, don’t be so quick to judge. Realize that the version of history that you know is written by the victors.
Queen Victoria was as much a monster as Mao. Her actions brutalized people around the world. One example is the Taiping revolution which killed 20-30 million people. The opium wars, and various other revolutions around the globe.
The scale of Britains conquest and path of destruction is much greater, and continues around the world today.

The great crime of Mao, like his mentor Stalin (who killed more Russians than Hitler ever thought of killing) was that their terror was aimed primarily at their own people.
This was the fatal flaw of World Communism, that the two giants of the movement were dedicated enemies to their own people.
Mao may eventually have had a cup of tea with Nixon but it would never have occured to him to do the same with any of the peasant survivors of the Great Leap.
The sorrow of the 20th Century was that a revolutionary movement designed to give all power to the people was perverted into a mechanisim to preserve the personal power of an elite (and largely unqualified) few.
Without Terror, there would have been no Communism.

The irony of communism – those who would save the people were its chief enemy.
