Is Kate pregnant? While William, 29, plus the Danish Crown Prince and Princess tasted peanut paste at a recent visit to a global supply center for Unicef, Kate politely refused -- and reportedly gave her husband of six months a knowing look.
Tabloids are abuzz with speculation that Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is expecting her first child with Prince William. Buckingham Palace refuses to deny or confirm such a statement but there are hints that there may be some truth to the rumor.
It is all started with Kate refused to sample some peanut paste in a Unicef food packet in a royal visit to Copenhagen. (Doctors warn expectant mothers against eating nuts.) She further fueled speculation on another occasion when she refused a glass of champagne while hosting a charity dinner on behalf of Prince Charles. (Expectant mothers shouldn’t drink alcohol.)
In Touch magazine claims that Kate is six weeks pregnant. In Touch‘s sources have been reliable in the past, having correctly revealed both the couple’s honeymoon plans and the Queen‘s wedding gift to Kate.

Perhaps Kate doesn’t LIKE peanuts/peanut paste/peanut butter? Then, perhaps she didn’t WANT a cocktail?? Perhaps she simply opted NOT to partake in “peanut paste”, if so, what’s the BIG DEAL!! IF she’s pregnant, we’ll find out when they’re ready……..and NOT before!

Or an heirESS who can now be queen even if she gets a baby brother! Hey, UK, welcome to the 21st century!! So glad you finally realized that girls CAN lead a country, too! (It took you TWO Elizabeths to figure that out, but, hey, better late than never…….)

I am sorry but I either forgot or somehow missed what gift the Queen gave to Duchess Kate. Was it the tiara?
And as the wife of the future King of England does Duchess Kate automatically inherit certain royal gems now and then get use of the others when she assumes the throne with her husband?
I think that no one ever OWNS the Crown Jewels but they can be used at the discretion of the Royal Family – ??
Also, does Duchess Kate get more favoritism in these areas than say, Duchess Sophie or the daughters of Prince Andrew? Or do they all get to borrow whatever gems they need for the occasion? (Which probably seems more fair)

Hi, Carole,
The tiara was on loan from the Queen. http://www.vanityfair.com/online/daily/2011/04/kate-middletons-tasteful-tiara
Kate’s wedding ring is made from a piece of Welsh gold given to Prince William by the Queen shortly after the engagement was announced. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-13229048
Okay, so Queen Elizabeth II can wear the Crown Jewels for the opening of Parliament or a coronation. For other occasions, she wears a tiara. The Crown Jewels are held in trust for the United Kingdom. Queen Elizabeth has her own private jewelry collection, apart from the Crown Jewels. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Personal_Jewel_Collection_of_Elizabeth_II
There are no hard and fast rules on when to pass down what piece of jewelry to the next in line; that’s one of the reasons history is so much fun. Queen E II’s great grandmother Queen Alexandra did not want to pass on her jewelry to her daughter-in-law Queen Mary when George V took the throne. Russian queen consort Marie Feodorovna was petty also when it came time to pass on the royal jewels to her daughter-in-law Empress Alexandra Feodorovna.
My guess is that each of these royals emjoys the jewels associated with their titles and estates.

Any chance she was preggers then but isn’t now, as the earlier tummie holding/focusing may have implied? Love this blog. ABBB

William an Catherine have every right to keep thing’s between them self’s if they want to they are people to just b/c they are royal’s the mag’s feel they have the right to hound them well i feel this is not right they haven’t even been married a year an they should be able to have the time to enjoy being newly wed’s.
When they decide they want to talk to the press that’s up to them but even they have right’s like everyone else so why can’t they just back of them an let them enjoy one another for now geeze is it that tuff .
Yes it’s nice to hear about them but when they are ready for the people to not when the mag’s try an dig up dirt on them which i don’t believe anything untill i see or hear it for myself.
Prince William an The Duchess of Cambridge have every right to have some privite time that’s why Princess Diana got tired of them b/c they hounded her an i feel thats sick.
I wish i knew how to write the rioyal family as i feel for them b/c just b/c they are royal they have the press on them 24/7 i seen a adress b4 to write them but i never wrote it down.
I also know that it is not the royal family who send u a reply back it is their staff .It would be nice to have them as friend’s on facebook an just talk about every day life not be like the mag’s an hound them .
Life’s to short to have people do that to you just b/c your royal .
Best wishe’s go out to Prince William an Duchess Catherine may you both alway’s feel like it’s your first time in love God bless you both. 🙂
