Wow! Interesting quiz. I missed 13, 15, 18, 28.
I guess 24 correct out of 28 isn’t too shabby for a non-Brit.
You should write a post about the story of Lily Langtry sometime. It involves a delightful story of how “The Beautiful People” of Victorian/Edwardian times became celebrated through the selling and trading of postcard images made of them. Through the decades, popularity has always been spurred on by whatever mass media device was trendy at the time.

Winston, you aced the test! I need to take it, too. I read about the trading of the carte de visite cards when researching John Wilkes Booth. The camera was just coming into wider use (1860s). Many people had not just photos of loved ones but of famous actors like Booth who was a heartthrob akin to Tom Cruise in his earlier days.
